The Hotel Waldfrieden cares deeply about the environment and sustainable management of the hotel business. We take our responsibility for our environment very seriously. For a healthy and livable nature.
What we do for an intact environment
- Use of food and drinks from the region or from Austria. You can taste it and it also reduces the environmental impact.
- Waste sorting to bring as many raw materials as possible back into the recycling cycle for reuse.
- The hotel's own laundry saves transport. We deliberately use the detergents and cleaning agents sparingly. With dosing systems, we keep the water pollution as low as possible.
- Our hotel is heated by an environmentally friendly pellet heating system. We have installed a photovoltaic system on our hotel roof. In this way, we produce electricity using the power of the sun or light and thus cover part of our electricity requirements ourselves.
- Two e-charging stations, which are also powered by our solar power, are available. Billing is based on the amount of electricity actually fueled and via a billing system with a fuel card or credit card.
- Use of LED lamps throughout the hotel.
- E-mountain bike rental in the hotel (for a fee).
- A bus stop is right across from our hotel. So you can also leave your car at home.
- As a Sommercard partner, the regional bus lines are free.
- Free pick-up for our house guests from the train station. A holiday without a car is quite possible!

For a healthy environment
- Get to the hotel by public transport.
- Make a contribution to saving energy by switching off the lights and reducing the heating when they are not needed.
- Reduce water consumption.
- At your request, no automatic towel change.
- Separate waste: Place glass, plastic and plastic waste and waste paper in the collection bin.
- Buy drinks in glass bottles.
